Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation
Original Research Articles
Original research submissions should not exceed 2500 words (excluding references and abstract). These may include randomized controlled trials, interventional studies, diagnostic or screening evaluations, outcome analyses, cost-effectiveness research, case-control studies, or surveys with strong response rates.
The manuscript should be structured with the following sections:
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- References
- Tables and Figure Legends
Abstract Structure
The abstract must be concise, balanced, and informative, summarizing both methods and findings. It should include the following sub-sections:
- Background
- Aim
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Manuscript Sections
Title — The title should clearly reflect the study design.
Introduction — Provide scientific context and clearly state the research objectives.
Materials and Methods
- Study Design – Clearly describe the study type.
- Study Setting – Mention locations, recruitment periods, and data collection details.
- Participants – Define inclusion and exclusion criteria and follow-up procedures.
Results
- Report participant characteristics.
- Present key findings in logical order.
- Use tables and graphs where appropriate.
Discussion
Summarise the study outcomes, strengths, limitations, and implications for clinical practice or future research.
Short Communications
- Maximum length: 1000 words
- Up to 5 references
- Should present concise findings
Case Reports
- Maximum length: 2000 words
- Limit: 10 references
- Reports should focus on rare or clinically significant cases
