Editorial Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJIHSR go through an initial review by the editorial board. At this stage, the scope, originality, scientific quality, and any technical issues are carefully assessed. Manuscripts that pass this first check are then sent for detailed peer review.

The corresponding author will be kept informed throughout the process and may be contacted for clarifications, corrections, or revisions as needed. Only those manuscripts that are novel, methodologically sound, and contribute meaningfully to the field will be accepted for publication. Submissions that are outside the scope of the journal or unlikely to be of interest to its readership may be declined at this stage.

Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members are handled directly by the Editor-in-Chief and sent to independent external reviewers. To maintain transparency, authors who are part of the editorial board are excluded from any decisions regarding their own manuscripts.

Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two experts in the relevant field for peer review. Authors may suggest potential reviewers at the time of submission, but the final selection rests with the editorial office. Reviewers are chosen based on expertise, and those with conflicts of interest or from the same institution as the authors are not considered.

The journal follows a double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Reviewer comments and recommendations are shared with the corresponding author. If revisions are required, authors must provide a point-by-point response and resubmit the revised version. The review process may involve more than one round of revision. The final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection is made by the editorial board, based on the reviewers’ feedback, scientific quality, and overall merit of the work.
